Launched in June 2022 by First Lady Casey DeSantis, Continue the Mission aims to actively recruit veterans, military spouses, and former law enforcement officers who still have a desire to serve their communities. Children and families in crisis need reliable support from strong, compassionate, and skilled individuals who will fight to help ensure their safety – attributes that our military and law enforcement agencies instill. Through the Florida Department of Children and Families and in partnership with the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs as well as other state and local partners, this initiative is a call to action. Career opportunities include child protective investigators, adult protective investigators, and case managers. The Department is also recruiting mentors for the professionals who are filling these positions.
